Diatonic
harmonicas are the most comon. They're small - usually 1" x
4", inexpensive, and the easiest to learn to play. They're most
comonly used to play Blues, Rock, and Folk music. Most models are
available in all 12 keys. They're easy to "bend" to get the

Chromatic
harmonicas are the big ones and they can play sharps(#) and flats(b)
by pushing a button. Most models are only available in the key of C,
but they can be played in any key due to the ability to play sharps
and flats. They're most comonly used to play Standards, Big Band,
Jazz, Classical, and Religious music. Famous players include: Stevie
Wonder, Toots Thielemans, Larry Adler, William Gallison, and William
