1101 - The Extreme Bender Product Description: The Hohner XB40 offers players complete bending freedom. The revolutionary design permits a level of expression and note bending capability never before possible on any harmonica. The normal diatonic is limited - it's missing notes right where you need them. A very rare and talented player can find all of the notes he needs by bending or forcing a note flat or sharp, but most players will never accomplish that. Most of us must settle for just being able to bend a few notes at best. The XB40 overcomes this limitation by incorporating an additional set of reeds that come into play during note bending, so that all twenty of the harmonica's notes can EASILY be bent. The XB40 is tuned so that every note can be bent a whole tone, with an additional semitone bend on the 3-draw to complete the chromatic scale in the first octave. Like a Saxophone, the XB40 can go anywhere you want to go musically. Note: This harmonica requires good control and technique to keep from bending accidentally. It sounds and feels more like a chromatic than a diatonic. It has it's place, but understand that it's a completely different animal than a normal diatonic.
